Veterans Day is when we honor and celebrate the Service men and women in our community
To celebrate the veterans in our Jewish community, no matter where and when they served. Veterans and our community are asked to come together to honor our local veterans. There will be a short program hosted by Joe Narrowe to hear about his experiences, and there will be an opportunity for others to speak as well. Light snacks will be served and a gift for those who have served. Let's join together to honor, celebrate, thank, and support our Jewish veterans. We are excited to welcome Rabbi Hanniel Levenson.
Please CLICK HERE and read through all the events we are hosting and the services planned. It is so important that you attend something to meet him, talk to him, and consider if he could be our next Rabbi. Scroll to the bottom of that link for a letter to our community.
We may be adding more events to his schedule, and they will be posted on our website and Facebook and by word of mouth.
We are excited at this stage in the process of our Rabbi search, and we look forward to seeing all of you next week!
Rabbi Hanniel Levenson is a final candidate in our search for a Rabbi for JCM. Please find time to attend as many events as you can to meet, talk, daven, learn, and get to know him. We will want your input and feedback as to how you see him leading our community. More events may be added as new opportunities arise. The Jewish Congregation of Maui sends prayers for Carrie Rosenberg Baumgartner sister of Linda Rosenberg and Debbie Beaver, and daughter of Irving and Greta Rosenberg. May she be blessed with healing of the soul and healing of the body among all those in need of healing in the community. The family will be traveling to visit her, and prayers are welcome.
A/C Update!
Yes, I know, it is soooo hot in the building right now. We have collected bids (Toda Raba to all who sent recommendations), and we are waiting for an opening in the schedule to get our A/C changed out. We will be putting in a split system so that each room can be cooled separately, and if there is a problem with one system, we still have the others.
As always, living on island creates a challenge for materials and time from the A/C contractors. I promise as soon as we get on the calendar for installation, I will let you know!
