Weekly Shabbat Services

Services take place at 6:30pm on Friday evenings and 9:30am on Saturdays. Occasionally we have Children's Services that start at 10am and are shortened.

Beit Shalom Synagogue uses the Romemu siddur published by a community affiliated with the Renewal Movement. We also use the Sim Shalom siddur published by the Rabbinical Assembly of America as the basis for our services. The services have a traditional Hebrew structure, and center around the beauty of the classic Hebrew liturgy, the spiritual power of prayer, and communal song, interspersed with explanations and readings in English for the comfort of those who are not proficient in Hebrew. We provide mixed seating and are non-affiliated. Service styles and details may differ by week as we strive to accommodate the religious needs of all Jews on Maui (see weekly schedule for specific davening style).

The Saturday morning Romemu Siddur can be downloaded as a PDF here

Unless specifically noted otherwise we are a “traditional-egalitarian” minyan.

Community participation is highly encouraged. If you have a song you would like to introduce, or a prayer that speaks to you, or are able to lead services, your contribution is welcome. Please contact Rabbi Raanan for any questions: rabbi@mauijews.org
