Please note: Rabbi Raanan will be out of town Monday, Nov. 28 - Wednesday, Dec. 7 to spend some time with his family.
Our Chanukah items are being unboxed and more things will be ordered on Wednesday. I know there is more on island than in the past, so we won't go crazy, but we will have a selection of dark and milk chocolate gelt, dreidels, Chanukah and Mazel Tov cards, a variety of candles, and just a few decorations.
I will let you know when we have ALL the stuff...but a few dreidels and candles are ready for you if you MUST have things early.

Toldot: How to Respond to the Inevitable רַבּוֹת מַחֲשָׁבוֹת בְּלֶב־אִישׁ וַעֲצַת ה' הִיא תָקוּם׃ Many designs are in a person’s mind, But it is the Eternal's plan that is accomplished.
Our foremother Rebecca was not able to have children. Isaac pleaded with the Eternal on her behalf and she was able to conceive twins. Even in the womb, Rome (who the Rabbis associate with Esau) and the Jews (Jacob) would struggle. Rebecca could not bear the experience within her so she went to inquire of the Eternal and questioned why she existed. The Eternal answered her and said (Gen. 25:23):
“Two nations are in your womb, Two separate peoples shall issue from your body; One people shall be mightier than the other, And the older shall serve the younger.”
This was part of Rebecca's existence as a mother and as a follower of the Eternal One. So when the opportunity arose for her to ensure that Jacob would receive the blessing of the firstborn, she did exactly that.
And of course, there is more to the story. Read More Here
