As we approach the end of the year, we would like to notify you of our upcoming Annual Members Meeting scheduled for December 17, 2023. This gathering provides us with an opportunity to come together as a community, reflect on the past year, and discuss plans for the future.
Meeting Details: ● Date: December 17, 2023 ● Time: 1:00 pm ● Location: Jewish Congregation of Maui, Beit Shalom Synagogue 634 Alulike St, Kihei, HI 96753.
At this meeting, we will be addressing key issues, sharing updates, and seeking your valuable input on matters important to our synagogue community.
Nominations for Board Positions: In preparation for the meeting, we are currentlyaccepting nominations for the JCM Board. If you know of someone or would like to nominate yourself, please submit your nominations by December 8, 2023. Nominations can be made by contacting Gabriel Crane gabriel@wovenwings.net or Kalo Yujuico jcmmauijews@gmail.com or by visiting our website: jcmmauijews.org
Voting Process: After the nominations close on December 8, the finalized ballot will be made available online for your convenience. You will then be able to cast your vote electronically from the comfort of your home. If you prefer, when you join us in person on December 17, 2023, you can cast your vote at the designated voting station in the synagogue.
Please note: Whether you are a current or past member, membership dues need to be paid in full by November 30th to be guaranteed a vote or nomination. If you are a past member and interested in being part of the board, and you are not already a paid member, please renew your membership here at https://mauijews.shulcloud.com/ join by November 30th. Dues need to be paid in full by this time.
Your active participation in this process is crucial for the continued success and growth of our synagogue . We value your input and encourage you to take part in shaping the future of our community. Mark your calendars! Please join us for the following events:
Sunday, November 26th - Volunteer Meeting From 1pm-3pm, we kindly ask for volunteers to assist with the board member election process. One task is to stuff envelopes with letters.
Saturday, December 9th JCM's Chanukah Party Doors open at 5:30pm. Havdalah at 5:45pm. To ensure everyone is well fed, please RSVP to Kalo @ jcmmauijews@gmail.com no later than Friday, December 1st. Mahalo
Sunday, December 17th Annual members meeting and board nominations . We are having a second Annual members meeting for members who were unable to join us the last time. Light refreshments will be served from 12:30pm-1pm. Meeting will start at 1pm. RSVP to Kalo @ jcmmauijews@gmail.com no later than Friday, December 15th.

Through the generosity of anonymous donors, we've been asked to participate in a fundraiser challenge.
The goal is $10,000! The challenge is for one month. Nov 1st until Dec 1st. Once the goal has been reached, our kind donors wil match this. With your help we can do this!
Next Israeli Folk Dancing class will be returning Sunday, November 26th right after the volunteer meeting

Talmud Torah (our religious school) has started!
Children learn Hebrew, study Jewish history and holidays, learn songs and prayers, sing, dance, do creative crafts, and have a grand time with their Jewish friends. Some highlights of previous years are clay menorah making, planting a garden, presenting several wonderful Purim plays, and Israeli dancing.
Talmud Torah will meet on Sunday mornings from 10:30-12pm. Children ages 5-12 may enroll. Contact Kalo or Happy Lefton to register!!
