Rosh Hashanah
Wednesday, Oct 2, 2024, Evening Service -  6pm-8:30pm

Thursday, Oct 3, 2024, Morning Service - 10am-1:00pm
Children's service  - 11:30am - 1pm led by Cynthia Lebowitz*
Tashlich at Beach - Kaonoulu Beach - 4:00pm – 5:00pm

*The children's service is geared for children aged 2 to 8, but all kids and their parents are invited to join. The service will emphasize Tefillah, Teshuvah, and Tzedaka, featuring songs, prayers, and shofar blowing to help the little ones engage with this special day.

The Jewish Congregation of Maui is committed to making the High Holidays enjoyable for all. To ensure your safety and comfort, seating is limited, so we recommend making reservations. JCM members and their guests will have priority. Instead of purchasing tickets, we welcome donations to help off set costs. 

Your generous contribution will support Rabbi Lev's honorarium and cover essential expenses such as security, the Break-fast, support staff and making a meaningful and positive impact on our community. We also have volunteer opportunities that would help us immensely.

Family Shabbat Service and Potluck Dinner!

We will have our first meeting next Sunday, 8/25, for parents and students. We expect it to take  approximately 1 hour. Students will play games and do a quick placement test, while parents and teachers will discuss procedures and expectations for the year.

Please feel free to share this information with anyone who might be interested. The more students we have, the more Jewish friends and connections our students can make. Let us know if you have any questions or ideas. We would love to hear from you!

August Shabbat Services Changes

For Shabbat service on Friday, August 16th JCM is pleased to offer a Shabbat Service from home or via live broadcast with Rabbi Cheri Weiss from Temple Emanu-EL on Oahu while our lay leaders are on break.

To join, click the link  https://www.shaloha.com/services or visit the synagogue, where doors open at 6:30 PM and the service starts at 7 PM, followed by Kiddush.

If you wish to commemorate a Yahrzeit or include someone on the Refuah Shlema list, kindly send the details to Kalo at  jcmmauijews@gmail.com by 2 PM. In-person services will resume on August 28th with a Family Shabbat Potluck featuring Rabbi Ken and others. Thank you for your understanding, and Shabbat Shalom!
